Week 7

PostAuthor: tdb1977 » Sun Feb 10, 2019 12:15 pm

Welcome to Week 7. After a bit of confusion cause me for week 6, it looks like most folks got their entries in without much trouble. Good job in locating those large containers on traditional caches. I will do better in explaining what each week’s challenge is going forward. We have also concluded Bonus Challenge 1 and many folks took the opportunity to get their 100 points through spelling out GEOCACHING. The next Bonus Challenge will be right around the corner. Standings will probably come out in 2 posts this week. The first post will have the week 6 standings and a second post midweek will have the Bonus Challenge points included. Many folks have taken the Bonus Challenge and I am about halfway through going through all the entries. It takes a lot of time to go through each entry. So, shall we head to week 7? We shall!

This week you will be heading out on adventures to learn more about this planet we live on. You are going to need to find 4 earthcaches this week that you have not previously found. Earthcaches are unique caches as they deal with a science lesson about the earth. There are no physical containers for these caches. So this means, you will need to answer a set of questions that are on the cache page, concerning what you are seeing and send those answers to the cache owner. On your map, these icons will show up as an earth symbol. This week will be worth 20 points in the standings. If you are not familiar with earthcaches or how to do them, there are several folks within the group that love doing these types of caches, so it might be a good time to team up with folks and head out. The weather this week looks to be problematic this week, so heed this as a warning. A couple of things to remember:

- Previous finds will not count
- Some travel and planning will be necessary to get your 4 earthcaches
- Enjoy yourself while you are out. If this is starting to feel like work or not enjoyable anymore, then take a week or 2 off. No one is forcing anyone to do this.

Good luck and explorer the earth this week! ... w/viewform
