TB Race Stats Update

PostAuthor: caching_chris » Thu Jan 25, 2007 1:45 am

I am keeping an Excel Spreadsheet with each racer's stats (mileage, states logged, caches visited, days idle, etc.) Periodically, I will upload the most recent version of the spreadsheet to this thread as an attachment.

If your bug's mileage is HIGHLIGHTED in the spreadsheet, it means I need you to go to your bug's page and choose the "Recalculate Distance" option. If you don't do this, I can't always see your true mileage to update the stats. If possible, everyone should try to "Recalculate Distance" periodically, especially after your bug moves, just to make sure it is showing correctly.

Thanks!

EDIT: removing the past stats file, so I don't take up extra space on the site. The newest update is below.

Hey, no fighting at the top! Those of us that have moved at all should be happy....but remember it's a LONG race, and all it takes is one big move, good(cross-country trip) or bad(think Alaska), to change your fate

Oooh, hadn't thought of that...I'm not in the race, so I can move TBs. Don't piss me off or I might consider another trip to Brazil...check out how often the caches get visited there.

Just kidding, of course. Congrats to those of you who are whooping the other people!

Unfortunately, we're not taking any late entries for this race. There's already been at least 1 person that wanted to get in but couldn't (MftB), and again, I apologize for this rule.

Unfortunately, in order to be able to keep track of the racers' stats, it is neccessary for them all to have 1 start date, and to all have the same amount of time to complete the race.

Buuuuut, on a positive note, if you have a TB you'd like to race, there may be another one coming up at some point...ya never know :D

Race stats have been updated again, as of 2/6/07. Not much change, but there could be a lot of movement pending very soon...

My plan is to try to update weekly (give or take a few days), or more often if there is a lot of movement all at once, or a major change or developement.

And everyone remember, if you see your bug move, try to check the page to make sure the mileage has updated and doesn't need "recalculated"! That makes my updating much easier

OK, it's a little late, but here's the latest update. Just a comment-- Linds had to manually place her bug in the correct cache, as it was verified as being there by a "discovered" log, but wasn't looged in correctly.

While this wasn't specifically addressed in the rules, it will be allowed if the situation warrants it. Soooo for everyone else, if you have a situation where your bug is logged incorrectly and can be confirmed where it actually is, and where it came from, just drop a line here to let us know, and then you can correct it with a simple pick-up and drop. Again, this is only for those times when the bug is not logged correctly, and can be CONFIRMED where it is located.

Also, the Ireland Island TB needs a mileage update...looks like it moved a good distance to Kentucky, but I can't see the distance yet.

Heh...not that I am involved with this race, but I do have to agree a "Halfway Trophy" sounds appropriate.

Great job Tony, I hope it makes it back.

Then you can get the other half of the trophy.
